The Fundamentals of Experimental Design

Experimental design can make or break a study.  Unnecessarily large or complicated experiments are often a poor use of time and resources with little to no added benefit while overly simple experiments won’t necessarily yield reliable or even meaningful results.  Since analysis is only as good as the data collected, taking the time to construct a well thought out and planned experiment is crucial.  This talk will explore the basics of experimental design from a statistical perspective with a focus on manufacturing and industrial examples.
